The Camellia Project NZ

Artist Wendy Hannah is building the largest Chandelier in NZ that will transform used drink bottles into glittering, eco-friendly jewels.

The work is part of the celebration of the:

125th ANNIVERSARY OF SUFFRAGE IN NEW ZEALAND WHAKATU WAHINE : Votes For Women
A Salute our Women Heroines.

Wendy will be running workshops through schools teaching families how to make the jewels which they can pledge to the installation. She is hoping to use 31872 recycled flower cut outs. (The number of signatures on the suffrage petition).
